The successful candidates will be involved in all aspects of overseeing and ensuring the delivery of Tax engagements from planning through to completion. Your role will include executive level client interaction and provide you with exposure to multiple clients on a regular basis.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide tax compliance and tax advisory services to clients in all sectors.
Develops, manages and maintains relationships with the Inland Revenue Department and other fiscal authorities
Communicate with the Board of Inland Revenue on the behalf of clients to discuss and explain matters relating to the client
Assist corporations with setting up operations in new countries and helping to ensure the applicable tax rules are satisfied and the corporations and individual executives are in compliance with the applicable tax requirements
Provide workable tax solutions and delivers high quality tax service and advise
Assist in reviewing, interpreting and providing advice on tax legislation
Reviews, validates or explains the tax treatment of various transactions
Periodically provides tax updates on annual Budget and Finance Acts
Assesses tax impact on clients, develops logical tax arguments to support conclusions, and suggests solutions that are feasible to clients
Assists Tax Director/Partner in researching, developing and implementing tax planning strategies for clients
Prepares and gives presentations to attract new clients or present new tax products
Provide assistance to audit in reviewing tax calculations and support totax managers on engagements
Business Development activities including presenting at tax seminars and drafting the content for newsletters containing developments in tax legislation and budget proposals
Develops and maintains client relationships
All duties are required to be performed with a high level of attention to detail and sometimes under time constraints to meet specified deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law
ACCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent) is an asset
6 years’ experience in Tax
Experience working in a professional services environment
Minimum 7 years of relevant work in an auditing/tax environment. Prior experience in the Big 4 will be preferred.
Minimum 3 years supervisory/ managerial experience
