Job Purpose
To lead in the preparation and distribution of financial statements and reports to management and the compilation of statutory reports and ensure that all transactions and documentation comply with established accounting guidelines, policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Leads the preparation of the Corporate Performance and Statutory Management reports.
- Directs the preparation of Quarterly, Monthly, ad-hoc and Annual Reports to communicate/review financial results to Management and the Board.
- Reviews all the reports to be fully apprised of and to monitor the financial performance of the Company.
- Ensures compliance with all accounting and financial standards, laws and regulations, the Company’s financial authorities, policies and procedures and safety standards.
- Implements and maintains internal control over financial reporting.
- Coordinates and develops financial reporting policies and procedures. Manages the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports for the Company and The TPHL Group.
- Collaborates on the annual budget process and monthly forecasts, working with all functional areas across the business when needed.
- Primary contact for SAP S4 Hana reporting hierarchy matters and SAC integration matters.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.
Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline or Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA or FCCA).
Experience
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the accounting field with a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
