Programmer Analyst III TT

JOB SUMMARY
 
The incumbent will be responsible for providing critical support for investigating, analyzing, maintaining and designing solutions for the Group’s application systems. He/She will also be responsible for encouraging high levels of communication and coaching techniques to promote continuation of service to all users whilst maintaining compliance with the required policies and procedures.



KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizes detailed analysis and design methodologies to convert specifications of business requirements and system enhancements into a detailed implementation work plan so as to ensure maximum systems availability
  • Reviews all work and creates documentation prior to implementation to verify consistency and conformance with established ICT guidelines
  • Establishes good communication practices with all stakeholders when troubleshooting, investigating, analyzing and defining requirements, information flows, processed and procedures
  • Troubleshoots and fixes daily production issues that affect the Group's applications 
  • Provides on call support for critical productions issues as assigned and arranged with Management
  • Constructs, interprets, and executes test plans in a thorough and reliable manner
  • Formulates and/or modifies complex queries for reporting and information analysis across multiple database platforms whilst ensuring that data integrity is maintained at all times
  • Interacts with vendors to gain technical expertise and effective resolution of application software issues within a timely manner
  • Plans and coordinates work schedules and priorities with the Supervisor to ensure completion of project deliverables within agreed timelines and quality
  • Presents technical problems, processes and solutions verbally and in written formats in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintains working knowledge of required standards, methods and tools for analysis and program development and documentation
  • Assists with coaching and mentoring of Programmer Analysts II and new staff
  • Engages in marketing of the Group’s products and services
  • Responds to customers’ requests, inquiries, incoming and outgoing calls, both local and foreign, in a courteous and timely manner consistent with operating standards and escalation to the Manager where necessary
  • Completes special projects and other delegated activities as assigned by the Manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution with one (1) year's relevant experience such as in Applications Development OR an Associate Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/ Software Engineering from an accredited institution with three (3) years relevant experience such as in Applications Development
  • Certification and knowledge of PROFILE (Integrated Banking System (IBS)), u/Switchware, T24, Unix, Linux, Java, Microsoft SQL Server/ Informix SQL, Reactive Web Design, Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals and Power Platform Developer Associate will be required
  • Strong proficiency in API Development and Web Services
  • Broad understanding of information systems concepts and practices
  • Proficiency in the development of computer databases, local applications/systems, web applications
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently
  • Completion of a supervisory skills workshop
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated capabilities in project management
  • Ability to read, analyze and use complex documents and forms
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers (both internally and externally) with a high level of professionalism
