Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) is a state - owned company in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil.
Job Purpose
To retrieve, verify, analyze, interpret, monitor and compile petroleum/reservoir and other related data/ information in providing technical support to professional staff.
Key Accountabilities
- Collates petroleum and reservoir engineering data which allow the professional staff to do further analysis.
- Conducts Quality Audit and Quality Control of field work with regards to data sampling to ensure data quality and data source integrity.
- Conducts trending of technical data and recommends relevant and suitable interventions to rectify abnormal situations.
- Generates basic geological log cross sections, various maps, montages, in support of geological interpretations.
- Provides support for reservoir modelling applications and workstation G&G projects as directed by professional staff.
- Creates, captures, and manages records as directed for use in monitoring and optimization of department’s performance.
- Performs preliminary economic assessments and assists with results for approval by appropriate Line level.
- Assists with preparation, processing and tracking of budget and business documents to monitor the achievement of KPIs.
- Develop workflows and software routines for reduced manpower needs for performing data and analysis workload.
- Prepares documents required for regulatory approvals to ensure statutory compliance.
- Undertakes any other assignments required from time to time, to fulfil the job purpose.

Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering AND
- A minimum of two (2) years’ related experience with a minimum of one (1) year in the oil and gas industry.
- Working knowledge of geology, petroleum and reservoir engineering, drilling, work-over, production and EOR terms and equipment.
OR
- Technician’s diploma in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering AND
- A minimum of five (5) years’ E&P experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Working knowledge of geology, petroleum and reservoir engineering, drilling, work-over, production and EOR terms and equipment.
