Your Role

As the Marketing & Communications Officer for Aruba and Bonaire, you will be the key point of contact for all brand guidelines and communication strategies. You will enhance our brand image while developing and executing effective marketing, communication, and PR initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an annual Marketing & Communication Strategy for Aruba and Bonaire in collaboration with partners and the management team.
  • Ensure all marketing materials and promotions align with brand guidelines and maintain high professional standards.
  • Support business development activities, including proposals, presentations, seminars, and thought leadership materials.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to Partners and Management, tracking local and international trends and assessing their impact.
  • Manage and create content for various communication channels, including websites, email marketing, social media, and advertising.
  • Manage our website, ensuring up-to-date and relevant content.
  • Coordinate and assist in external communications, such as press releases, speeches, presentations, and newsletters.
  • Plan, host, and oversee local events, including seminars, webinars, workshops, and corporate social responsibility programs.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with local media.
  • Analyze social media and website traffic to improve performance and engagement.
  • Oversee day-to-day marketing and communication operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
     

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, communication, or a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, Papiamento, and English (Spanish is a plus).
  • A creative mindset, attention to detail, and proofreading experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Proactive, independent, and flexible approach to work.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign, and Canva.
  • Experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics (G4), and CMS platforms
