Junior Investment Analyst TT

What will you do?

In the role of Junior Investment Analyst you will provide support to the manger Investment Research and Investment Analyst with respect to the recommendation and monitoring of investments for all our Funds under Management.  You will assess and make recommendations on local and regional corporate and sovereign bond issues for our funds under management and provide market and economic information used to inform management committees.

What will you do? 

  • Collect and update economic data and make informed recommendations for approved countries in the assigned sovereign region
  • Review the quarterly financial performance of foreign corporate issuers (e.g. credit ratings and outlooks, profitability, liquidity, leverage and recent bond issues) in order to make informed investment decisions
  • Provide the market values of our proprietary funds, all pension plans, savings plans and ESOPs under our administration
  • Review the annual financial performance of local corporate issuers and counterparties to monitor risk exposures
  • Update the investments database with the share prices of listed local and regional companies
  • Review the performance and risk exposures of property, fixed income and equity mutual funds
  • Complete the proxies prior to the annual general meetings of listed local and regional companies
  • Deliver the highest level of quality customer service to all by responding in a timely and courteous manner to requests from internal and external contacts

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Working knowledge of relevant Regulations including: The Insurance Act 1980; The Income Tax Act; The Financial Institutions Act 1993 and The Securities Industry Act 1995
  • Familiar with local financial markets including equity, capital and money markets, and some knowledge of the international markets
  • Keen understanding of economic developments and their impact on investment performance and opportunities
  • Working knowledge of the mechanics of various investment instruments
  • Working knowledge of accounting methods and concepts

Nice-to-have

  • At least one (1) year experience in a financial institution or in a position engaged in investment analysis would be an asset
