Business Continuity Associate TT

Job Summary

What is the opportunity?

In this role you will provide support to all Caribbean Banking business segments, ensuring the businesses meet the maximum level of preparedness, conforming to RBC BCRM Standard for Incident Management and Business Continuity Planning (BCP). You will also support Caribbean Banking businesses with the development of recovery strategies and coordinate tactical planning and activities to achieve these.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for the Business Continuity Risk Management (BCRM) Plan Development/Maintenance, to implement appropriate BCRM contingency plans and associated controls
  • Consult, assist and approve tactical BCM activities in accordance with RBC Standards and Policy, these activities include:
  • Business Impact Analysis, BCP Plan Development and Exercises  
  • Identify and assess areas of emerging risk and vulnerabilities to business operations
  • Document and track action plans to close all identified business continuity gaps and risks
  • Incident Management
  • Provide Business Continuity Management support to the Business Line(s) / Regional Incident Management Teams, maintaining a working relationship/liaison with other Incident Management Teams.
  • Conduct employee business continuity awareness programs, as needed.
  • Conduct business continuity research efforts to ensure current plans reflect industry best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support to requests in the BCM mailbox as well as requests for information for projects or other work initiatives

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business related or finance field.
  • 3 - 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, planning and organizing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication capability and presentation
  • High degree of flexibility and resourcefulness
  • Relationship management with cross level stake holders
