BI & Automation Analyst TT

General Accountability

The BI and Automation Analyst supports Executive Management’s corporate decision making by:

  • Develop, manage and execute business analytics projects and solutions;
  • Measure and report Department/Division and Corporate performance against established targets; and

Design, develop and deploy end-to-end technology-based solutions to achieve efficiency in various Finance processes

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and execute business analytics projects and Power BI solutions.

  • Collaborate with end users (and other developers) to analyse and understand business analytics needs.

 

  • Develop and deliver business analytics dashboards, corporate reporting, data visualizations, etc. using Power BI.

 

  • Ensure interfaces are built, deployed, and supported effectively.

 

  • Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals.

 

  • Identify opportunities to improve analytical processes and reporting by leveraging solutions using tools such as Power BI, Excel, etc.

 

  • Identify development needs to enhance and streamline operations, actively contributing to the improvement of processes through data-driven insights and strategic BI solutions.

 

  • Act as liaison between ICT (and other internal stakeholders) and outsourced providers to achieve objectives.

 

Design, develop, and deploy technology-based solutions

 

  • Collaborate with end users (and other developers) to investigate and analyse business processes, systems and workflows to understand business process requirements

 

  • Develop technology-based solutions, in accordance with best practices, to streamline identified business processes or improve the efficiency of existing processes, reduce risk and manual effort, and support performance reporting using tools such as SharePoint, Power Platform, etc.

 

  • Test solutions according to identified needs to ensure accuracy and reliability. Debug any issues and errors identified during the testing phase.

 

  • Deploy and maintain solutions, as needed, in production environments

 

  • Train end-users on how to use newly implemented automated solutions. Provide ongoing technical support to end-users by troubleshooting issues

 

  • Act as liaison between ICT (and other internal stakeholders) and outsourced providers to achieve automation objectives

 

 

Prepare and/or compile periodic performance reports for Department / Division / Corporate against established targets for Executive Management decision making and submission to the Board of Directors

  • Effectively analyze and communicate results, trends, gaps/variances, challenges, and opportunities and provide recommendations for performance improvements to SLT.

 

  • Report on monthly Corporate Scorecard performance against targets, using appropriate data visualization tools and techniques.

 

  • Contribute to enhancing the Corporation’s performance measurement systems, including the recommendation of changes to performance measurement metrics/methods.

 

  • Guide Executive Management and other team members to resolve queries, etc

 

Identify, actively lead, or assist team members with ad hoc or scheduled projects, tasks, or initiatives to achieve identified goals, deadlines, or efficiency or other benefits for the Finance department or Corporation as a whole.

The selected candidate must possess the following combination of qualifications, skills, training and experience:

  • A First Degree in a relevant field from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
  • Three (3) years’ supervisory experience
  • Suitable combination of training and experience 

OR

  • A Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in a similar position within the financial industry and
  • Four (4) years’ supervisory experience
  • Suitable combination of training and experience
