Assistant Accountant BB

The successful candidates will have some or all of the following characteristics:


Responsibilities:

Perform the auditing procedures assigned to him/her.
Ensure the adequacy and appropriateness of the workpapers.
Inform the auditor-in-charge about auditing or accounting problems encountered.
Being alert to and reporting to the auditor-in- charge, specific aspects of service which may be of benefit to the client.
Review bank reconciliations and verify reconciled items.
Provides support on a variety of audit engagements in accordance with the firm's audit methodology and audit quality procedures.
Ensures compliance with client, statutory and KPMG requirements ensuring the effective and timely delivery of engagements.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or ACCA Level I
Minimum GPA score of 3.3 from a recognized university
Minimum Grade II in CXC English Language or equivalent
Willingness to aggressively work towards the ACCA or CPA qualification
Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong interpersonal, report writing and communication skills
Flexible and willing to travel
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a multi-cultural experience
