Purpose:
Provide technical expertise to support technical asset inspections, address gaps, and analyze findings into actionable Scope of Work (SOW) documents for engineering execution. Collaborate closely with lead engineers, contractors and market operations teams to ensure high-quality project execution.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Take a leadership role in HSE demonstrating commitment to Safety through personal engagement exhibiting a culture of care in all projects and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure Engineers and operations market teams on technical Asset Integrity matters at fuel terminals, marine terminals and commercial infrastructure and provide expertise, recommendations, and solutions with emphasis on executing safely, timely and on budget.
• Under the guidance of the Asset Integrity Lead, guide consultants and contractors in the development of SOWs for asset API Inspection activities and the resolution of identified gaps. Ensure alignment on technical approaches and strategies for various situations.
• In conjunction with Infrastructure Engineers and Operations Market Teams, support the development of HSE plans, Risk Assessments, Permits to work, Job Safety Analysis, etc. for the execution of tank cleaning and gas freeing, as well as necessary works for inspections and repairs.
• Analyze inspection findings and identify technical issues or areas requiring attention. Incorporate technical findings in SOWs, outlining the necessary workflow.
• Provide technical support to Engineering team on Quality Assurance for works on repairs or construction of assets.
• Maintain steady engagement with contractors, operations teams, and stakeholders to ensure transparency in the progress of inspections, SOW development, and the resolution of technical issues.
• The position may also require the normal duties of a Project Manager for the assigned projects such as: Close budget tracking; detailed project timelines; reporting and constant engagement with Sol stakeholders and management to provide full visibility of project progress; review and approval of contractor and supplier invoices; working with Accounting to ensure proper asset categorization and others.
• Recommend and implement improvements to inspection processes, SOW development, and technical execution based on industry trends and lessons learned from past projects.
• Identify new technologies and processes bringing efficiencies to cost savings.
• Support the stewardship of execution of Asset Integrity Program across different Sol Markets.
• Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualification Requirements:
• Engineering degree in the Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Industrial fields.
• A minimum of 10 yrs. of engineering work experience.
• Proven technical expertise in the petroleum industry.
• Strong experience with asset integrity programs, industry regulations, corrosion management and compliance standards, including API 570, 650, 653, 510 and 579.
• Certifications or accreditations such as sponsorship of engineering bodies, API, ASME, AMPP/NACE, Project Mgmt. Institute and others are a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage contractors and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
• Skilled in contract management and negotiations.
• Proficient in MS Office suite: Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and engineering-specific tools for budgeting, contract and procurement and project definition and execution.

Other Information:
In addition to basic salary the successful applicant shall receive applicable job grade allowances and be eligible to participate in The Sol Group Pension Scheme and its non-contributory Group Health and Life Insurance Scheme. Travel will be required.
