As an Apron Controller you ensure the safe and optimal operation of the Runway, Taxiways and Aprons (ICAO Annex 14 and AUA-AGA) and other airside areas in accordance with (inter) national (safety) regulations. You will coordinate the Surface Movement, Guidance and Control (SMGC) of aircraft on the aprons, take necessary measures in emergency situations as well as coordination with the Air Traffic Control and execute all required inspections on the airside to ensure high Operational Safety

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Aircraft Movement Planning & Coordination.
  • Aircraft Turnaround inspections.
  • Airside Safety Management and Inspections.
  • Flight Data Management.
  • Reporting and incident Management.

 

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent degree or experience (Physics and Mathematics are desirable).
  • Minimum 2 year of experience in an Airport function.
  • Good expression skills both in speaking and writing in Dutch and English. Spanish and Papiamento are desirable.
  • Local Driver's license is required.
  • Airside Driving Permit is desirable.
  • SMGC License and English proficiency levels are required. The training will be on the job and last approximately 6 months. Passing this training is a requirement for the job.

 

Department: Operations
The Apron Controller reports directly to the Duty Coordinator Operations.
