Account Executive Corporate CW

General Purpose

The Account Executive Retail will be part of the customer service and sales team. In this position the responsibilities include the promotion and sales of all consumer products/related services to the preferred clients of the Bank, this includes the level of personal customer service, the administration and other follow up activities to ensure the timely achievement of both short- and long-term targets based on the Bank’s strategic objectives.

 

Position Highlights

  • Provide information and assistance to preferred clients on bank products and services of the Bank in a verbal and written form.
  • Provide a high standard of service to preferred clients by offering products, advice and support tailor made to the client’s needs.
  • Provide financial advise (for loans and funding).
  • Responsible for the management and follow up of client in an assigned portfolio.
  • Identify and pursue new sales by way of cold calls and reaching out to new prospect clients for both the lending portfolio as well as funding clients.
  • Process and access new credit applications, presenting accurate, thoroughly researched proposals and recommendations for sound decision making.
  • Following up with prospects several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met.
  • Maintaining acceptable levels of risk to safeguard the quality of the assigned portfolio with daily monitoring.
  • Presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to prospective buyers.
  • Compiling and analyzing data to identify trends that could be useful to guide marketing initiatives.
  • Developing sales strategies and setting quotas.
  • Staying current on company offerings, economic developments and industry trends
  • Maintaining a database of contact information.
  • To perform timely follow up on missing or outdated documents/ information on the assigned portfolio, ensuring completion of all files, in compliance with the KYC policies and procedures of the Bank.
  • Ensure timely follow up on assigned tasks in all applications. (e.g. Launchpoint and Rulesware Risk)
  • Timely report unusual account/client behavior to the Compliance department by completing an internal reporter form, for further investigation.
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Handling complaints and negotiations in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • HBO / Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or at least 5 years of banking experience in the Account Management area;
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/ customer service role;
  • Able to read and understand financials;
  • Some knowledge in Corporate lending;
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles;
  • Comprehensive and current knowledge of company offerings and industry trends;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Dutch;
  • Excellent communication/ presentation skills and ability to build relationships;
  • To demonstrate interest in ongoing self-development;
  • A business acumen.
